Google's Made with Code Honors Chloe x Halle Ahead Of The Global Citizens Festival

Made with Code, Google's non-profit initiative to inspire millions of girls to use coding as a means to pursue their professional and personal dreams, gave a sneak preview of their innovative, groundbreaking on-stage integration at the Global Citizens Festival on Tuesday 20th September 2016 at Milk Studios in New York City, and shined a light on Chloe x Halle, supporters of Made with Code's "Change is Made with Code" campaign who use code-powered social media to champion critical issues like gender and racial equality! Chloe and Halle were joined by teen girls from the Black Girls Rock! and other local nonprofits at the event.

About the Global Citizen Festival:

Held every year in New York City's Central Park, the Global Citizen Festival boasts a star-studded lineup to promote awareness of gender equality, environmental and poverty issues. Guests can receive free tickets upon completing "action journeys," which involve convincing various organizations to pledge money for a cause.

Taking place on Saturday 24th September 2016 and hosted by Chelsea Handler, Deborra-lee and Hugh Jackman, Neil Patrick Harris, Priyanka Chopra, and Salma Hayek Pinault, the 2016 Global Citizen Festival will feature spectacular performances from headliners Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, Demi Lovato, Major Lazer, Metallica, and special guest appearances from Chloe x Halle, Usher, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder, Ellie Goulding, Yandel, and Yusuf Islam (formerly known as Cat Stevens).
