"Power Rangers Dino Super Charge" Charges Onto UK Kids Channel POP On Monday 5th September 2016

Power Rangers is already experiencing roaring success in the UK in 2016, with POS in double-digit growth, which has seen the iconic brand charge into the number five spot in the NPD Boys Action Figures category for June! Sales have also increased by 26% YTD!

The brand will get supercharged this summer when Power Rangers Dino Super Charge, the 23rd season of Saban's iconic Power Rangers franchise, premieres on FreeView and FreeSat channel Pop from Monday 5th September 2016.

In Power Rangers Dino Charge, the Power Rangers finally defeated the team's main antagonist Sledge; however, someone newer and even badder is stepping up to take his place. Fortunately, the Rangers were able to secure the help of Kendall Morgan - the lead scientist at the Amber Beach Dinosaur Museum - as the new Dino Charge Purple Ranger in her powerful Plesio Zord, which possesses the spirit of the extinct Plesiosaur!

This new super-charged season will follow the Power Rangers as they continue their quest to unite all 10 Energems by tapping into brand-new battle gear, Zords and Megazords to save the universe. Sledge may be gone, but a all-new threat has arisen that is twice as bad, and the Power Rangers will need their biggest team ever! Power Rangers Dino Super Charge will make franchise history by uniting 10 Power Rangers on the same team for the first time ever! Power Rangers Dino Super Charge will also continue to spotlight the series' core themes of friendship, teamwork, responsibility and helping others for fans of all ages.

In the Power Rangers Dino Super Charge season opener, "When Evil Stirs" (#601), the Rangers believe their work is done after defeating Sledge, but an even more powerful monster begins to pick up where Sledge left off!

In anticipation of the all-new season, kids can be just like the Dino Super Charge Rangers with the arrival of an awesome new range of action figures, Zord Builder and role-play toys that are now available at retail nationwide!

Tess Parsons-Broome, Power Rangers Product Manager at Bandai, said: "We are absolutely delighted with the brand’s performance this year which continues to go from strength to strength. With the exciting launch of Dino Super Charge this summer, coupled with the halo effect of the movie, we are confident that this fantastic success will continue to grow as we head into 2017."

To celebrate the launch, a comprehensive marketing campaign will ask kids to Find Your Power throughout the season across multiple touch points. This activity includes exciting viral video in collaboration with the highly popular YouTube channel Gorgeous. Their 340,000-plus subscribers will be exposed to engaging content that will showcase the new toys, such as the T-Rex Morpher and Plesio Charge Megazord, brought to life.

In addition, Dino Super Charge Rangers will have a temporary home on the ever-popular Bin Weevils website in a six week online campaign. As well as a hub that will feature fun facts and content about the Dino Super Charge story, Rangers and toys, the campaign will also see kids compete to win prizes in a game hosted on the site. This interactive game will encourage children to work as a team in order to achieve the highest score, promoting the Power Rangers teamwork ethic. Banners and pre-roll will drive kids to all of this action, generating an estimated 1.85m impressions. The Dino Super Charge toys will be further supported with a heavyweight TV and cinema campaign, PR and press activity as well as dedicated licensor support from Saban across the season.

And if that wasn't enough excitement for the brand, excitement is already starting to build for Lionsgate's much-anticipated Power Rangers theatrical movie, which will be released worldwide in Spring 2017, alongside a fantastic range of movie-based toys from Bandai.
