Nickelodeon UK To Premiere Brand New Show "Extreme Babysitting" In On Monday 16th September 2013

The Nickelodeon UK and Ireland fanblog NickUKHub is reporting the exciting Nickelodeon UK News that the online British and Irish TV guide Digiguide has announced that Nickelodeon UK will start to premiere and show the brand new Canadian hidden camera prank show "Extreme Babysitting" (22 episodes x 30 minutes) from Monday 16th September 2013 at 6:00pm (repeated at 7:00pm on Nick UK's plus-one timeshift channel, Nick+1)! After the shows premiere, Nick UK & Eire will then continue to air all-new episodes of "Extreme Babysitting" every Monday at 6:00pm (replayed at 7:00pm on Nickelodeon+1)!

"Extreme Babysitting" is a half-hour hidden camera prank show produced for Canada's YTV that puts teenagers to the ultimate babysitting test – one that they will never see coming. When the babysitter shows up for what they think is a routine night of babysitting, unbeknownst to them, the house is rigged with concealed cameras and everyone else involved are actors, ready to pull off the ultimate babysitting prank! "Extreme Babysitting" sets out to push the ridiculous metre on the usually mundane world of babysitting. "Extreme Babysitting" is hosted by YTV's "Crunch" presenter Andy Chapman, and features a hilarious cast made up of Allen, Chris, Ava, Jamie, Jesse, Kate, Lindsay, Ralph, Sarah, and Westley.

Following 9 Story Entertainment’s acquisition of CCI Kids children’s and family library earlier this summer, the Canadian studio has sold the CCI Entertainment and YTV reality series Extreme Babysitting to Nickelodeon UK.

The series first launched in Canada on YTV earlier this year and is now part of 9 Story’s portfolio as part of the company’s recent strategic relationship with CCI Entertainment and acquisition of CCI Kids’ family and children’s library. The deal also gave 9 Story acquire distribution rights from CCI Releasing for additional kids and family titles totalling more than 1,000 half hours of content, more than doubling 9 Story’s portfolio.

Extreme Babysitting, (22 x 30 minutes), is a hidden camera reality show created and produced by General Purpose Pictures in partnership with CCI Entertainment and YTV. It has been green lit for a second season.

A UK broadcaster has picked up the Canadian prank reality series Extreme Babysitting, which aired locally on YTV earlier this year.

Nickelodeon UK will air the 22x30′ hidden camera series, created and produced by General Purpose Pictures in partnership with CCI Entertainment and YTV. It was recently greenlit for a second season in Canada.

Nickelodeon UK has acquired Canadian live action kids series Extreme Babysitting.

The pay-TV broadcaster has struck a deal with 9 Story Entertainment for the 22 x 30-minute series, which launched on Canada’s YTV earlier this year.

The series was originally produced by General Purpose Pictures in partnership with CCI Entertainment before 9 Story acquired the CCI Entertainment’s children’s and family catalogue earlier this year.

Extreme Babysitting is a hidden camera reality series in which teenagers are pranked by fake babysitters. It was recently commissioned for a second series.

“Extreme Babysitting fits the Nick sensibility of full-on fun and I am sure that our audience will relish the mayhem that unfolds in the course of an episode,” said Tim Patterson, director of programming for Nickelodeon UK.
