The Official Nickelodeon USA Website Talks About "iCarly" Coming To An End In 2012, The Future Plans For The Cast Of "iCarly", And How The Nickelodeon Stars Of "iCarly" Have Changed Since The Beginning Of The Show

Below is a selection of Nickelodeon News articles about the popular Nickelodeon show "iCarly" coming to an end later this year (2012) from the 'Nickelodeon Stars' section of the (geo-locked) official Nickelodeon USA website, Nick.com.

The first "iCarly" news article on the official Nickelodeon North America website is about the announcement that the hit Nickelodeon sitcom "iCarly" will be ending this year, and that Nickelodeon will be showing the final episode of "iCarly" later this year [unconfirmed reports suggest during November 2012]. The Nickelodeon News article also discusses what the stars of "iCarly" will be up to when "iCarly" finishes production; Miranda Cosgrove (Carly Shay) will be heading off to hit the books at the University of Southern California (USC) in the fall; Jennette McCurdy (Sam Puckett) has got her very own live-action Nickelodeon show in the works, which will be created by hit Nickelodeon TV show creator Dan Schneider, the creator of the hit Nickelodeon shows "ICarly", "Victorious", "Drake & Josh", "The Amanda Show", and "Zoey 101"; Nathan Kress (Freddie Benson) has already landed his first movie role in the upcoming movie "Game of Your Life"; Noah Munck (Gibby) has also got a new role in the works, starring in another brand new Nickelodeon show created by Dan Schneider; and Jerry Trainor (Spencer Shay) is set to star in a brand new Nick At Nite (Nick@Nite) pilot called "Wendell and Vinnie", where he will be playing the goofy guardian to his uptight conservative 12-year old boy genius nephew:
iCarly Series Finale!

For five wonderful years we've LOLed our way through countless episodes of the greatest web show on earth...iCarly! Whether we were watching Sam gobble down a five-ton slab of ham, seeing Carly totally freak over small confined spaces, watching Spencer light yet another thing on fire, or bursting out laughing every time Gibby did pretty much anything shirtless, there's no chance we'll ever forget all the memories we've shared with this world class cast. But all good things must come to an end sometime. It's just been announced that this year, iCarly will be premiering it's final episode. But this is no time for tears! It's time to celebrate!

We're taking this time to look back on our finest memories, from the time Sam and Carly first fought over a tuna sandwich, to the brief moment when Gibby became the newest boy band member of One Direction. But we're not the only ones reminiscing the good times had in Bushwell Plaza. The whole cast will forever hold a place in their hearts for this sensational (and fantabulously funny) series.

And just because the show is coming to a close, doesn't mean the cast is calling it quits! They've got tons of new projects lined up for the future.

Miranda Cosgrove is heading off to hit the books in college.

Jennette McCurdy's got her very own show in the works, with iCarly creator, Dan Schneider.

Nathan Kress already landed his first movie role in Game of Your Life and is looking forward to taking on a bundle of new characters.

Noah Munck has also got a new role in the works, starring in yet another show created by Dan Schneider.

And Jerry Trainor is set to star in a brand new pilot, Wendell and Vinnie, playing the goofy guardian to his uptight boy genius nephew.

So, just because the show is coming to an end, doesn't mean you can't continue to watch these awesome stars while sporting your Penny-T for life. We know we will...
The second "iCarly" news article on Nickelodeon USA's official website takes a look at what the cast of the hit Nickelodeon series "iCarly" looked like in the very first episode of "iCarly" which was premiered and shown on Nickelodeon USA in 2007, and what the cast of Nickelodeon's "iCarly" look like now:
iCarly Cast: Then & Now

Soon we'll be ringing in the fantastic finish to one of the most hilarious and entertaining shows on television...iCarly. And as we look back on all of our finest and funniest memories, we can't help but notice how far we've come! When the show first premiered in 2007, the residents of Bushwell Plaza were just tiny tots, hoping to change the world with their new wacky web show. Now, they're global superstars! Join us in celebrating how much Carly (Miranda Cosgrove), Freddie (Nathan Kress) and Sam (Jennette McCurdy) have grown since they first stepped on set of their silly show in Seattle.

Miranda has totally transformed on screen from Spencer's adorable little sis to full-blown glamor gal.
Even though Sam's always had enough 'tude to take on someone twice her age and stature, when she first showed up on iCarly she was pint-sized! But now, Jennette has grown into a gorgeous celebrity star (although, she's probably still capable of outwitting her elders).

And Nathan did a good amount of evolving, too. Just look at those adorable baby cheeks!

We loved watching these nubs literally grow before our eyes! But we have a feeling that this transformation from Nick newbies to top-notch celebs is only the beginning...
